Our influences for the thriller opening (Michael pocock)
One of our main influences is the use of masks to hide identity to create a intimidating character. we used the v for vendetta mask as our main antagonist.
Another of our influences is Eden lake we use emotion of a man and his love for a woman in our opening for our thriller and this is a key example of the relationship we want to express through our opening we reference a key scene in our opening in Eden lake, Michael fassbender opens a ring box to show that he wants to propose we will use a ring as a prop to evoke emotion towards the protagonist as he realises that his girlfriend to be fiance has been brutally murdered.
another influence we used is in the 'sink sequence' where we use a lot of blood this is influenced by johhny depps death in nightmare on elm street where a lot of blood is used

BBFC Rating (Harvey Kennedy)
I believe that the opening to our thriller alone may be a 12a/15. Our opening has no swearing, sexual references, violence or nudity, but it does contain gore. There is a real heart in a sink which the viewer may not expect, making the rating dwell on the 12a/15 border. The guidelines I found on the BBFC website were helpful in deciding the rating, but weren't clear enough to give us a definitive rating. I think that if we were to complete the story and make a full film it would possibly be a 15, or more likely an 18.

thriller moodboard and codes and conventions
This is our thriller moodboard, we focused mainly on horror thrillers for this moodboard. The reason we used horror thriller pictures is because we are heavily influenced by them and plan to make our thriller in the genre.
The usual codes and conventions of a horror thriller:
The usual codes and conventions of a horror thriller:
- In a horror thriller there is always a internal/external threat, somthing for the characters to either defeat or be defeated by. e.g. The Thing (1982)
- There is usually a love interest of some kind. e.g.Eden Lake (2008)
- There is usually a final girl who is more intellegant compared to the other females in the film. She is the last surviving character. She seems to be boyish in character and usually has brown hair. e.g. Denise Wllis,House of 1000 corpses (2003)
- There is usually a 'dark house' senario where the setting is in a isolated area/house where the mail horror occurs e.g. woman in black.
