Props

In our media project, we only used 3 or so props, as we felt like it was all that was necessary.

The first prop we used was this pipe. We felt the pipe was the best weapon to use as it's a improvised, non-professional weapon, showing the malicious nature of the attack. Using a bludgeon shows the violent and destructive nature of the act, as using a blunt object shows that the aim is blood and pain.

We used this Guy Fawkes mask from V For Vendetta for our 2nd prop. We felt the attacker needed a mask to remain anonymous, as people often fear what they don't know or understand. We used the Guy Fawkes specifically due to its history. For years, its been used on the internet to 'troll' and scare people, often done by young people. It was also used on New Years Day 2013 in London by young adults, they fired fireworks at the houses of parliament in protest. This history it has associated with youth violence makes it the perfect mask for our 'hoodie horror'.

This is the last set of props we used. It is a shocking image for most, clearly with a large heart and some writing, which at further inspection reads "your girlfriend always had the biggest heart." This is an extremely striking image, and is the first imagine in the film to say that something's really wrong. It helps set the tone and the helps the audience sympathize with the character, who's just found out about his girlfriend's demise.
